HATTIESBURG, MS — On Tuesday, June 3, Jones Capital welcomed more than 175 guests to its official ribbon cutting ceremony, celebrating the grand opening of its new four-story, 80,000-square-foot headquarters in the heart of Midtown Hattiesburg.
The event marked a major milestone for the company, which began construction of the state-of-the-art building in Fall 2022. Designed to foster growth, collaboration, and innovation, the headquarters reflects the company’s continued investment in its people, its partners, and the Hattiesburg community.
“As we grew our companies, we found ourselves seeking more talent,” said Jonathan Jones, CEO of Jones Capital. “We believe the core of being good at business isn’t just understanding business—it’s about being curious. And so we began asking ourselves: how do we find more curious minds who want to explore new places and pursue business opportunities across the country?”
The facility was designed by Weir Boerner Allin Architects (WBA), with construction led by Codaray Construction and landscaping by Reed Hilderbrand. With features such as flexible seating areas, wraparound balconies, and collaborative lounges throughout all four floors, the building was intentionally built to accommodate future growth and evolving ways of working.
“This desire to find and develop talent raised our interest in being closer to USM and William Carey,” Jones added. “We also saw this as an opportunity to help mitigate brain drain in Mississippi. Our hope is that this building becomes a place where people come to learn—and that the knowledge gained here enhances not just careers, but the next generation of their families and the communities they call home.”
The building serves as the headquarters for Jones Capital, a family office rooted in long-term stewardship and entrepreneurial growth. It also houses several of the companies within the portfolio, including Jones Logistics, Jones Lumber, Jones Power, TRU Solutions, FV Recycling, and Codaray Construction.
