Jonathan is the CEO and Founder of Jones Capital. His guidance, philosophies, and values drive the firm’s culture and strategy. He joined Jones Capital in 2003 after earning a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi. He worked his way from Assistant Controller to CEO, as he helped establish a broader vision for the firm’s future. Under Jonathan’s leadership, Jones Capital has grown to become more acquisitive and now includes a wide range of middle-market operating companies and direct real estate investments.

Jonathan was also instrumental in the development and successful recapitalization of Yak Access, North America’s largest provider of temporary access roads. Yak’s roadways are typically rented to utility companies that need a safe means to traverse ecologically sensitive wetlands while causing minimal environmental impact.

Jonathan is in constant pursuit of personal and professional growth through mentorship, affiliation with industry associations, and continual learning. Jonathan is an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year National finalist, is an active member of YPO Houston, and was a member of the executive team for the Mississippi Governor’s Commission for Economic Recovery.

Tom is currently the President and Chief Investment Officer of Jones Capital, where he facilitates the strategic direction and growth of Jones’ portfolio companies and directs new investment opportunities. He received his BBA in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi and his MBA from Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar, and he is a member of the class of 2000 at Strake Jesuit.

Tom began his career at Amegy Bank and developed a strong passion for working with middle-market entrepreneurs. He later joined the CapStreet Group, a private equity firm focused on industrial and business services companies, where he became a Principal and a member of the firm’s investment committee. In addition to serving on the boards of the current Jones portfolio companies, he has served on the boards of Gulf Stream Marine, Ontellus, Thorpe Plant Maintenance & Engineering, Incentive Solutions, and APG. He also currently serves on the Foundation Board at Strake Jesuit.

Tom is married with three young children.

Jonathan Duhon is a graduate of The University of Mississippi where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting as well as a master’s degree in taxation. Immediately following graduation, Jonathan joined the KPMG team as an Audit Associate for the greater Memphis area. During his tenure at KPMG, Jonathan became a Certified Public Accountant. 

Jonathan later relocated to the Hattiesburg area and joined Jones Companies, Inc. as the CFO. After six years with Jones, Jonathan was promoted to President and COO where he led and directed the operational activities of the organization. When YAK ACCESS came into formation in 2016 Jonathan was named CEO, managing all aspects of business operations and growth for the company. 

Jonathan was honored by the Mississippi Business Journal as a Top 40 Under 40 leader in 2011 and a Top MS CEO in 2019. Jonathan is a member of the Southern 7 Chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization-YPO, the American Pipeline Contractors Association, the International Pipeline & Offshore Contractors Association, and The Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Jonathan resides in Hattiesburg with his wife, daughter, and two sons. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his kids.

Aaron began working with Jones Capital in 2022, serving as the President of TruQC prior to Jones’ acquisition of the company. After a short time as COO at TRU Solutions, his efforts expanded to other Jones portfolio companies, and he played a key role in establishing our Strategic Resources Group (SRG).

Aaron started in the automotive industry as a production engineer at General Motors and then Toyota after earning a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology. He then attended the full-time MBA program at Washington University in St. Louis, joining Emerson’s planning group upon graduation.

Aaron moved to private investment firm Cequel III in 2004 and ultimately ran its corporate development group. He played a key role in over $30 billion worth of transactions, including the sale of Suddenlink to Altice Group in 2015. In addition, he led the integration of hundreds of employees and over 1.5 million cable customers onto common back-office systems and technology platforms and served as an interim executive and business development lead across Cequel’s portfolio. He has been a member of several company boards and currently holds that position at TRU Solutions.

Aaron lives in St. Louis, MO, and enjoys spending time outside and near water with his wife and two daughters.

Chris Barreto joined Jones Capital as an Associate in 2024, where he manages the reporting and analytics for the firm’s portfolio. With a strong background in financial analytics, operational management, and investor relations, Chris plays a key role in driving data-driven insights to support the firm's investment strategies.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Chris moved to Houston in 2023. He previously worked at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, managing the financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. With a focus on crafting tailored investment portfolios and working closely with advisors to ensure alignment with client's personal and investment objectives. He also held key roles at TD Wealth, where he supported Investment Advisors and led initiatives to improve operational efficiency across the firm. Chris holds both a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance from St. John’s University. 

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, their cat and dog, exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, and watching football. He’s a dedicated fan of mixed martial arts, and never misses a UFC event.

Jamie is the Executive Assistant and Office Manager for the Jones Capital TX headquarters. Prior to joining Jones, Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Victim Studies from Sam Houston State University. Upon graduation, Jamie worked at a boutique hotel specializing in weddings and events. With over a decade of invaluable experience in the realm of customer service, Jamie thrives in fast-paced environments.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Jamie finds fulfillment in the close company of her husband, son, & beloved corgi, and will never say no to a game night.
