Bruce Cunningham
Bruce Cunningham joined Jones International, Ltd. in 2005 and currently serves as Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer for Jones International University, Senior Vice President, Development for Jones Knowledge Group, and General Counsel for Jones International and its subsidiaries. During his tenure at Jones, Bruce has led several key transactions including the sale of Jones Media Group and its operating companies, Jones Media America, Jones Radio Networks and JonesTM to Triton Media Group, an affiliate of the Los Angeles-based private equity firm, Oaktree Capital Management, L.P.
Bruce joined Jones International following his tenure at Morrison & Foerster LLP, a leading international law firm, where he specialized in corporate and securities law and served as counsel on some of the most prominent technology transactions in both Colorado and New York’s “Silicon Alley.”
He also served previously as Vice President of Business Development at Inflow (now a part of SunGard), a leading Internet data center and telecommunications company, where he was responsible for corporate strategy, identifying and negotiating acquisitions, and forming strategic alliances. During his tenure at Inflow, revenue grew from less than $2 million in 1999, to approximately $18 million in 2000, to approximately $50 million in 2001.
Bruce graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996, where he was a Society of Cincinnati Scholar. He earned his BA, cum laude, in Economics from Trinity University in 1991, where he was admitted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He also attended the Avery Institute of Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, as well as the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
