Jones Film and Documentary, Inc. (JFD) (f/k/a Jones Entertainment Group™, Ltd.) is an independent production company in the motion picture, documentary and distribution business. Formed in 1988, JFD has been involved with creating high-quality, enduring film and television projects that have broad international appeal. Its highlights have included: The Mystery Of Genius a four hour documentary which aired on A&E Network, Communication: The Human Imperative - a 13-hour series produced in association with the Library of Congress, The Mir Chronicles - a compelling documentary chronicling the Mir Space Project, Red Space: The Secret Russian Space Program - a documentary exposing the early Russian space program as never before seen or revealed to the West. JFD's releases include the popular movies The Secret of Roan Inish, directed by John Sayles, The Little Kidnappers, starring Charlton Heston, The Story Lady, starring Jessica Tandy, The Whipping Boy, which aired on the Disney Channel, Household Saints, with Tracey Ullman and Vincent D'Onofrio, Curacao, with George C. Scott, and the mini-series Charlton Heston's Voyage Through the Bible.
